Polyamide Tension cable is used to give the fence extra support between posts or trees. It helps in high snow load areas by preventing foldover, it takes the strain of tree branches falling on the fence. Posts spacing can be increased to 20 to 22 feet if the end of each fence run is braced,this can be a considerable saving on a lrge installation.
The cable is easily tensioned with Gripples. Use three Gripples per side. Use two Gripples at either end to create a loop around the post or tree. Use a third Gripple in the middle of the run to tension the cable.
Tension cable is fixed to the mesh either by threading through the mesh , or using small zip ties or best of all do it the professional way with our hog ring pliers and hog rings to attach the mesh.
